Alex Kempton, Media and COomunications Lead for Hastings Community of Sanctuary

We are incredibly pleased to announce that Sussex Community Development Association have signed our Pledge, formally supporting the work that we are doing to build the Community of Sanctuary in Hastings and St Leonards.

Sussex Community Development Association have over 20 years of experience supporting communities and community based projects across Sussex to identify and address the needs of the most vulnerable in society. They are currently supporting Syrian Refugees in Eastbourne and Newhaven, providing additional English language support and helping them move towards paid employment.

We hope that the support of such an established and well-respected organisation will inspire and motivate other local organisations to pledge their support, as we continue to build momentum for this Community of Sanctuary.
