If you are a refugee or person seeking asylum, there are services in Hastings that can support you.

The Links Project is a multi-agency support and advice project for asylum seekers, refugees and migrant communities living in East Sussex. They run a free drop-in service on Wednesdays between 11am-3pm Central Hall, 6B Station Road, Hastings TN34 1NG.

The Refugee Buddy Project: Hastings, Rother & Wealden is a refugee & migrant-led charity supporting families and individuals from refugee backgrounds through their buddy programme, advocacy and financial & emotional support.

The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB) is the largest representative body for Ukrainians and those of Ukrainian descent in the UK. There is an active branch in Hastings & Rother.

There are some national organisations that may be useful, e.g.

Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB). Local CABx can help with advice on benefits, debt, housing etc.

Freedom from Torture provides specialist psychological therapy to help asylum seekers and refugees who have survived torture recover and rebuild their lives in the UK.

Refugee Action and Refugee Council are national organisations working to support and empower refugees and people seeking asylum. Both provide some advice and run projects in parts of the country.

Migrant Voice is a migrant-led organisation campaigning and offering training to help migrant people speak out with confidence.
