The Buddy Project is Fundraising!

Please take a look at our Go Fund Me link Share it with friends, donate, tell the world why they should donate to the work we are doing here in Hastings and indeed in East Sussex.

Thanks to you, the Buddy Project has moved on really quickly. We are buddying 17 newly arrived refugee families to the Hastings area, and three in Bexhill. We are also really proud to have won a recognition award from Migrants Organise and United Nations High Commission for Human Rights. As of this week we have moved into a shared venue in St Leonards on Sea. We plan to make this a safe space for everyone seeking safety and sanctuary.

We need funds to pay for a Buddy Project Administrator / Coordinator, to pay the running costs on the new venue and to pay for our exhibitions and events.

Watch this space for exhibitions exploring the themes of refuge, sanctuary, peace, displacement, identity and home. We plan to facilitate discussion and debate by showing films and inviting guest speakers on the above subjects. We are also planning workshops and much more.

Pop Up Syrian Suppers and freshly made Syrian pastries with your coffee/tea also coming your way!
